It's taken a few years, but the Tigers are really starting to have a home field advantage and are warming up to Comerica Park.

They are 25-12 this season at home, a place the Tigers didn't fair to well the first 3 seasons the ball park was opened.

But even more important then that the Tigers are building a very strong team for now and for the future. These young kids are looking good when called upon to get there shot at the big leagues, and yesterday it was Tigers rookie lefty Luke French who shined.

After earning his first career victory, Luke French was a smiles in the locker room. Making his second career start, the Tigers rookie outdueled All-Star Zack Grienke as Detroit defeated Kansas City 3-1. French (1-0) held the Royals to one run and six hits in 6 1/3 innings.

Now the final series before the All-Star break and it's vs. the Cleveland Indians. Go Tigers!!!
